Last saturday we were getting ready to drop off the babies at our friends house. The babies were all dressed in there coats and we were waiting on Jack to get his shoes on. He got a cramp in his chest that lasted a few minutes. He bent over to tie his shoe and it happened again. He was sweating and I called the Doctor. She said to push on the area. If it hurt it was a muscle pull. It didn't hurt so we were told to go to the hospital to get checked out. We went and they admitted him. He spend the night and the next morning when I arrived He was ready to leave. Very angry and just wanted out of there. I told him we needed to see what the Doctors said. He agreed. Both Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Doctor said he needed to stay until Monday Afternoon. Jack refused and told the doctors he could get the test done out patient. So we took him home. He was quite Happy. Like a little boy who just got Candy! I was MAD. Who likes staying in the hospital? (NO ONE!) I come to the conclusion that MEN ARE WIMPS! Thats why they don't have the babies! Monday I scheduled his appointment and couldn't get in until Wednesday. Then They called us back and said our Primary Care Doctor had to order the test and we needed a Pre Auth from the Insurance Company. I called our Doctor and She was out sick so they couldn't do anything. UGH!!!! I hate complications. If he stayed in the hospital we would not have had this problem and would know the results of the tests. Stephanie had Court Monday and they ordered her to come to our house. I was not present because I had a meeting and couldn't be there. So now we have her living back with us. I told her I don't want any Drama/ We need a stress free home. So the last 2 days I have been stressed out with Jack and Stephanie not wanting to take Responsibility for themselves! Thats life Right! How come it seems some people never have any drama and then there are others like Me that it just seems to pop up when you don't want it too! I can't wait for the boring smooth sailing days! I could write my own soap opera and win a Emmy!
My nephew Cory arrived home today from Iraq. My Sister Jill, her exhusband Lyle, My Mother, Stephanie, Travis, Daemien, Aleahna, and myself sat waiting patiently for his plane to land. It reminded me of the day he was born. Sitting and waiting for his arrival. We stood waiting with our balloons and Sign. The airport was filled with people coming and going. As Cory walked towards us in his uniform. The airport started to silence and then all the people around us began clapping for our Soldier Cory's return. It was very hard to fight back the tears when he embraced his Mom and Dad. The a few seconds later another soldier walked towards us in uniform and the crowd began clapping again. It was a very spiritual moment in my life. I would say almost like Cory's birth. Waiting for the anticipation of seeing him. He looked so great and I felt so proud to be his Aunt. I am Proud of him and his choices to serve our Country. I feel so blessed that he is such a great example to all our family. I glad he is home to celebrate Thanksgiving. I am glad that I was able to witness his homecoming today. It truly was a wonderful experience.
We recently had friends who gave us carpet and another friend who gave us a couch and love seat. We are really enjoying them. This is for you Mom Conley. Here are some pictures so you can see. We miss you and Grandpa and Hope you are doing well. I baked some cupcakes and as you can see by aleahna picture. She really like them! Had to give her a bath she had it everywhere. She's so cute and Of course I had to take a picture.
Since it is Novemeber I decided to make a list of things I am Thankful for. 1. Parents= Jack and I are both thankful for the wonderful parents we have been blessed with. We love the support, encouragement, Patients , and the unconditional Love that they show to us and our children. 2. Our Children- Even though they each are different they possess some very beautiful qualities. I pray stephanie will get through her difficult times right now. Travis what an amazing Young Man he has turned out to be. He is compassionate, caring, and does pretty much anything that I ask of him. Lowell is very compassionate and helps me out alot with the little ones. Daemien who has the sweetest spirit and always can make me laugh. Aleahna and her cute little attitude. She know what she wants. 3. My Personal relationship with my savior. 4. My Husband who supports us and Love me for me. 5. Good Friends who are always there to support me. 6. Missionaries past and present who always are there to help keep me on the straight and narrow path. 7. The home in which I live in. It is filled with lots of love and their is a peace and calmness. 8. I am Thankful for Mickey Mouse who entertains my grandchildren so I can get some work done around my house. 9. Ford Motor company who gives my husband a job in which he loves. 10 . My Church for the true and everlasting gospel. Even though we have moved and I miss my old ward terribly. I know the gospel is true and I am thankful for my testimony of that. I love that I can go to the temple and find the peace and tranquility that I need. I know it will take some time but eventually my new ward will feel like home.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and I am thankful for all you who love and support us.
Here I am up late yet another night. Sick children doing breating treatments, calling doctors, and trying not to panic. I am so tired and my adrenline has kicked in. I can't sleep. I am praying that my daemien gets better soon! I don't like this flu. At least his fever is down. I am trying to stay calm and prayers definetely help. IT just breaks your heart when the little ones are sick.
I had to take Daemien back to the Doctor and was told he had a very low pulse ox test. It measures how much oxygen is getting into the blood. They usually don't like the number lower than 95, his was 93. They drew blood, game him a updraft treatment, tested for H1n1 and sent us to get a chest x=ray. Daemien was just laying on the table and a very compliant patient. They said he was so good. The updraft treatment only brought his number up one degree. They sent us home with a machine so we could give him treatments at home. I was so annoyed that they didn't give him antibotic's. Don't understand why not if he has bronchitis. The doctor said bronchitis is a virus and they don't give out antibotics for that. They also said from the symptoms he was having they are convinced he has H1N1 flu virus. I spoke with a friend from church who works at the Health Department. She said All flu cases out there right now are H1N1. The test only is 50% accurate. Our doctor said the test is only 20% accurate. Why pay for the test then? I couldn't belive that! They wasted my money on a dumb test that isn't even accurate. Here we are 3:30 in the morning. I gave him a treatment and He seems to be breathing better. He loves Mickey Mouse. I am letting him watch it. I don't like having sick children. I worry so much about them. He looks so pale and the cough is horrible. I pray he will get better soon. Aleahna has not come down with a fever but also has the bad cough. She was up a Midnight and was having trouble with her cough. I put her in the bathroom and steamed up the room so she could breath easier. Gave her a bottle and rocked her to sleep. I am Thankful I am not sick, so I can care for them. Luckily, Travis and Lowell are pretty healthy. I hope the don't come down with this JUNK!
I have tried to be a great Mother and I feel I have been to my children. They have got to experience art, dance, music, athletic's. Vacations. I've let them pretty much be their own person. I love all of them very much! As a mother it just breaks your heart to see one of them contiue to make bad choices. I did my first and last today. Bailed my daughter out of Jail! I can't believe it! I wish it was a bad dream. Reality it's Real. I will not do this again! I pray that she starts to wake up and be responsible! She's 20 and I have taught her right from wrong. I raised her with good morals and standards which I told her today. If she was living the gospel she wouldn't be in this predicument today. What else can I do? Nothing but have faith and keep Praying! Heaven help me! My boys are amazing. Travis drove me to my Doctors appointment because my eye pressure has been elevated. He and Lowell help take care of the babies. It is so tender to watch Lowell rock Aleahna to sleep. She really loves it too! Daemien really looks up to his uncles and loves to sit with gunle Cav (Uncle Travis) to watch TV. Daemien has been using the potty and I am proud of him. I feel it is going to take a while until he is fully trained. Aleahna can say 49 words and she's only 18 Month's. She loves her Papa and is always chasing him to pick her up! I think it is cute! We are blessed and I am thankful for all that I have.
My dear friends Leanne and Amy came over and we canned 45 Quarts of Applesauce, We laughed, shared stories of our families and had a nice lunch together. It was a fun day! There is nothing more satisfying than to see your finished work!
I was getting ready to go somewhere and when I went back into the bathroom this is what I saw. Daemien with my red lipstick! He was so proud of himself. He said " Look Granny, You like it! I really love this age.
This is Jack and the kids at our Ward Halloween. Daemien is a monkey and aleahna Minnie Mouse. They had so much fun and so did we. Aleahna really enjoyed the cupcake and Daemien had so much fun playing the games. They had a parade and everyone looked so cute all dressed up.
The other night we were watching Star Wars. Daemien came up to me and said "Grandma, I don't like Darth Vader. I like God Vader! I thought this was Priceless! You can tell he likes going to his nursery class at church and He is learning a lot. I Just love the cute things that come from his cute little mouth!
We had Homecoming yesterday and the boys were so funny! First of all they are not as picky as girls! We went shopping and they decided they only needed a new shirt and Tie. Not to expensive! We ordered corsages for the girls and picked them up after our shopping was done. It was a comical afternoon. We raced to get home so they could get ready. We had only 10 minutes before the girls showed up to our house. The girls showed up and the boys were not quite ready so they had to wait a few minutes. Then as life seems to happen. I had to search the house to find my camera. We took pictures down by our river. It was COLD!!!!!!! After Pictures we came back up to the house and the teens jumped into the Truck to go to Dinner and then to the dance. The car wouldn't start! They battery was dead. They boys got the jumper cables Jumped the car. It took a while but it finally started. We told them to take them just in case it wouldn't start. Travis left. Lowell had to wait because his friend was going to pick him up. She showed up dressed in Jeans and a tee shirt! I wanted to take pictures of them. I was disappointed. Her Mom said she would send me a copy. They soon left again. Jack and I started laughing about the Truck. While cooking dinner I said to Jack, "I bet Lowell left his Ticket here. The last time I saw it was in my van" sure enough, I looked in the van and there it was! We started laughing again! We called Lowell and he said he was on his way back to get his ticket. He got his ticket and headed off to the dance. They both had a good time and I am happy for them. After the Dance the teens came to our house for a bonfire. When the girls left they set up the tent with there buddies and slept out side. It makes me cold just thinking about it. I am glad that they are having fun! I am really blessed that they are so good. They are very sweet and I just love them so much!
Driving home from church this afternoon Daemien started singing. I looked out the window Popcorn popping off the Apricot Tree. I am amazed that he could remember this much of the song. I know it's not perfect but My heart is full. My grandson is learning in nursery and enjoying his class. He really loves to be with his friends. We are blessed to have his sweet spirit in our home!
Daemien started Tap dancing yesterday. He is only 2 1/2. The dance teacher said she would evaluate him and let us know if he was ready to start. The instructor said usually they don't start class until the age of 3. So, Stephanie, Aleahna, and I took him to class. There were 2 girls and Daemien. She had the blind closed so I could not take pictures of him. I could see through the cracks in the blind. He was following directions and The smile on his face was PRICELESS! There was a empty room across from Daemiens class. We could here the music the instructor was playing. Aleahna went into the empty room and started to Dance. She's a natural! You can see in the Pictures that she really enjoyed that room. When the class was over Daemien walked out with a picture of a crab. He learned how to crab walk! I am impressed he can do this! He had the biggest smile on his face! Why didn't I take a Picture! I did video him though! It was fun. We are very blessed too. The Dance Instructor is our old Neighbor. She gave Daemien and Aleahna Free dance lessons for LIFE! We only have to pay for the shoes, costumes, and competition Fees. I sure we won't be in any competitions for a while. I was glad Stephanie went with us. I hope she remembers all the good times she had when I too her to the same studio for Dance Class. Oh! the memories it brings!
Lowell is the top picture and we just got him a new hair cut. Travis is the bottom picture on the left. His friend Aaron is on the right.
This is Travis's Last year of High School. It has been one of my traditions to take a picture of him on the first day of school! This year both Travis and Lowell refuse to let me take there Picture so I will post the most recent pictures that I took of them. Time flies by fast when you are raising children. I remember the first day he started school. He sure has turned out to be a great person. He is very caring and I Love how both of my boys help care for Aleahna and Daemien. We are blessed this year to have seminary in our home. I love the spirit that it brings. I also love waking up to a clean house every morning. Brother Perrington teaches the class and the boys seem to enjoy it!
I am really sorry that my pictures are so dark. My nephew cory is off to Iraq. I am so proud of him! Serving our country. He has always wanted to be a soldier from a very young age. We wish him the best! Pray that he will return home safely.
We had an very fun day at the orchard with My boys, My grandchildren, My Nephew, and The Laker boys. We Picked raspberries and I think we ate more than we Picked. The little ones just loved getting the berries. We went on a Hay ride to pick the apples and The little ones LOVED the tractor ride! It was so cute watching them pick apples off the trees. Each one of them would show me that they had the biggest Apple! We went inside the store and bought Cinnamon Doughnuts that they just made. Still warm in the bag. Oh! they tasted so good. The apple cider was delicious! I love the fall. The trees are just starting to change we saw some trees with Orange and Yellow leaves. Can't wait to see them in full bloom.
